Moss Yoga is a technology platform for adults that connects students with independent yoga
teachers for live, private virtual yoga sessions. This Privacy Policy explains what information
we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
QUICK SUMMARY
Moss Yoga is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old.
We collect account, profile, booking, practice-preference, device, and support information
needed to operate the platform.
Payment card and bank information is handled by payment providers such as Stripe and
Apple; Moss Yoga does not store complete card numbers.
Live sessions are private. Moss Yoga does not record live sessions unless we clearly disclose
the recording and obtain required consent.
SAGE AI interactions may be processed to provide the feature, maintain safety, and improve
the Service.
We do not sell personal information for money and do not use third-party advertising
networks in the App.
1. SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE
This Privacy Policy applies to the Moss Yoga website at www.moss-yoga.com, the Moss Yoga
mobile application, and related digital services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the
“Service”). It applies to students, teachers, corporate wellness contacts, website visitors, and
other individuals who interact with Moss Yoga.
By using the Service or providing information to us, you acknowledge that you have read and
understood this Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
This Privacy Policy does not govern independent third-party websites or services that have their
own privacy policies, even when they are linked to or integrated with Moss Yoga.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information in three main ways: information you provide, information generated
through your use of the Service, and information received from service providers or other
users.

2.1 Account and Contact Information
Name, email address, phone number, username, password or authentication credentials,
and account role.
Information provided through Sign in with Apple or another supported authentication
method, subject to the settings you choose with that provider.
Communications preferences and information you submit when contacting support, joining
a mailing list, or requesting corporate wellness information.
Communications & AI Interactions: Feedback, support requests, messages, and conversations with SAGE, including text generated from voice interactions, prompts submitted to the AI assistant, and responses generated by the Service. Where necessary to provide personalized recommendations and continuity across sessions, these interactions may be associated with your account.
2.2 Student Profile and Practice Information
Profile photograph, biography, general location or time zone, preferred teacher
characteristics, yoga styles, practice level, schedule, and budget preferences.
Practice goals, focus areas, accessibility needs, injuries, physical limitations, or wellness
information that you voluntarily provide so a teacher can better understand your requested
practice.
Saved teachers, booking preferences, class history, ratings, reviews, and feedback.
Please do not provide medical information that is unnecessary for your yoga experience. Moss
Yoga is not a medical provider, and information submitted through the Service is not a
substitute for medical care.
2.3 Teacher Information
Professional profile information, biography, photograph, location, availability, rates, yoga
styles, teaching experience, certifications, and credentials.
Identity, eligibility, tax, bank, payout, or verification information required by Moss Yoga or
our service providers to onboard and pay teachers.
Application materials, references, interview notes, screening information, and records
relating to approval or status on the platform.
Session, booking, performance, support, and payment records associated with teacher use of
the Service.
2.4 Booking and Transaction Information
Requested teacher, session date and time, session duration, class type, booking status,
cancellation information, and related communications.
Purchase amount, currency, payment status, refunds, credits, payout information, and
transaction identifiers.
Complete payment card numbers and bank credentials are processed by payment providers
such as Stripe and Apple. Moss Yoga generally receives limited transaction details and does
not store complete card numbers.
2.5 Camera, Microphone, Voice, and Live Session Data
The Service may request access to your camera and microphone so you can participate in live
sessions, use voice-enabled features, or communicate with teachers. Audio and video may be
transmitted through Moss Yoga or a video communications provider to deliver the session.

obtain any consent required by law. Students and teachers are prohibited from recording
sessions without the prior express consent of every participant.
When you use voice transcription or SAGE voice features, audio or a transcription of your
request may be processed to understand and respond to you. Device permissions can be
managed in your operating system settings.
You may also request deletion of your account and associated SAGE conversation history by contacting Moss Yoga. Subject to applicable law, we will delete or anonymize eligible data within a commercially reasonable period.
2.6 SAGE AI and Other Intelligent Features
If you interact with SAGE AI or another intelligent feature, we may collect and process your
prompts, voice transcriptions, responses, feedback, selected recommendations, and related
context. We use this information to provide the requested feature, personalize relevant
recommendations, maintain safety and security, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
AI-generated information may be inaccurate and is not medical advice. Do not submit highly
sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. Trusted AI or cloud service
providers may process this information on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
2.7 Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information
Device type, operating system, app version, language, IP address, general region derived
from IP address, and device identifiers permitted by your settings.
Screens or features viewed, buttons selected, referral source, session timestamps, and other
interactions with the Service.
Crash logs, performance information, error reports, and security events.
We may use Firebase or similar services for authentication, database hosting, analytics, app
performance, and crash reporting where enabled.
2.8 Website Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar
technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, protect security, and
understand how visitors use the site. We do not use third-party advertising networks in the
Moss Yoga App. Browser controls may allow you to block or delete cookies, although some
website features may not function correctly.
2.9 Information from Other Sources
Information another person provides when booking or communicating on your behalf,
where permitted.
Information from teachers, students, references, credentialing or screening providers, and
payment or identity-verification providers.
Publicly available professional information and information from business partners,
corporate clients, or event organizers.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
Create and secure accounts; authenticate users; and manage student, teacher, and hybrid
roles.
Match students with teachers and provide discovery, scheduling, booking, waiting-room,
and live-session functionality.
Process payments, subscriptions, credits, refunds, teacher payouts, and related accounting
records.
Personalize practice suggestions, teacher recommendations, SAGE responses, and user
experiences.
Review teacher applications, certifications, qualifications, and platform eligibility.
Send transactional communications, service notices, security alerts, and support responses.
Send marketing communications where permitted and honor unsubscribe choices.
Monitor reliability, analyze product usage, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect
users, Moss Yoga, and the public.
Comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, resolve disputes, and establish or defend
legal claims.
Create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual
and use it for lawful business, research, analytics, or product-development purposes.
3(B). Research, Personalization & Artificial Intelligence
Moss Yoga uses artificial intelligence to enhance the educational experience for both students and teachers. When users choose to interact with SAGE, our AI assistant, voice input may be converted into text and processed to respond to user questions. We may retain conversation transcripts together with a user’s account identifier to provide continuity across sessions and deliver increasingly personalized recommendations over time.
This information helps SAGE better understand each user’s unique yoga journey, including their interests, goals, practice history, and learning preferences. Our objective is to meet every student and teacher where they are in their practice by providing more relevant educational content, teacher recommendations, anatomical guidance, and wellness insights.
We may also analyze aggregated and de-identified interaction data to improve the performance, safety, and accuracy of SAGE and other Moss Yoga technologies. Moss Yoga does not sell SAGE conversation data to third parties or use SAGE conversations for third-party advertising.
Voice recordings are processed solely to provide AI functionality. Moss Yoga does not maintain a library of users’ voice recordings after they have been processed for the requested interaction unless otherwise disclosed or required for a specific feature.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in
this Privacy Policy.
4.1 Between Students and Teachers
We share information needed to request, accept, prepare for, and provide a session. For
example, a teacher may receive a student’s display name, profile information, practice
preferences, disclosed injuries or limitations, booking details, and information needed to
communicate or join the session. Students may see teacher profile, availability, experience,
rating, rate, and booking information.
4.2 Service Providers
We may disclose information to companies that perform services for us, including:
Firebase and cloud infrastructure providers for authentication, databases, storage, analytics,
notifications, performance, and security.
Stripe and Apple for payments, subscriptions, identity or account services, fraud prevention,
and transaction support.
Video communications, email, customer support, scheduling, and messaging providers.
AI, transcription, and machine-learning providers supporting SAGE or related features.

provide services to Moss Yoga.
These providers may process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to
their agreements and applicable law.
4.3 Corporate Wellness Programs
When you participate through an employer or organization, Moss Yoga may share limited
administrative information with that organization, such as enrollment, attendance, program
utilization, or aggregate engagement information. We do not share private session content,
detailed practice disclosures, or health-related information with an employer unless you direct
us to do so or disclosure is required by law.
4.4 Legal, Safety, and Compliance Disclosures
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to
comply with law or legal process; respond to a valid government request; protect the rights,
safety, or property of Moss Yoga, users, teachers, or others; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce
agreements; or address an emergency.
4.5 Business Transactions
Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, financing,
acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to
appropriate confidentiality and legal protections.
4.6 With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information for another purpose when you direct us to do so or provide consent.
5. DATA SALES, SHARING, AND ADVERTISING
Moss Yoga does not sell personal information for money. We do not use third-party advertising
networks in the Moss Yoga App. We may use limited analytics and marketing tools on our
website to measure traffic or the effectiveness of our communications. Depending on the law in
your state, certain website analytics or marketing disclosures may be considered “sharing” or
“targeted advertising.” Where required, we will provide applicable choices.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service,
maintain legitimate business and security records, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and
payment obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on
the type of information and why we collected it.
Account and profile information is generally retained while your account is active and for a
reasonable period afterward.

fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Support and safety records may be retained as necessary to protect users and enforce
platform rules.
De-identified or aggregated information may be retained where it no longer reasonably
identifies you.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or
securely dispose of it.
7. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect
personal information. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption
in transit, security monitoring, and vendor oversight. No system can be guaranteed completely
secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly if
you believe your account has been compromised.
8. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion
of, or a copy of certain personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights may be subject to legal
exceptions and identity verification.
8.1 Account and Profile Controls
You may update certain account and profile information through the App. You may request
account deletion through any in-app deletion option made available or by contacting us.
Deleting an account does not require us to delete records we must retain for legal, security,
payment, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8.2 Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails through the link in the message or by contacting
us. You may still receive transactional or service-related communications, including booking,
payment, security, and policy notices.
8.3 Device Permissions
You can control camera, microphone, speech recognition, notifications, and other device
permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related
feature from working.

and the account or email address involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary
to verify your identity and authority. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law,
but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification with you.
9. U.S. STATE PRIVACY DISCLOSURES
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable
privacy law. Subject to eligibility and exceptions, these may include rights to know or access
personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information, obtain a portable
copy, opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising, and appeal a decision regarding a
request.
Moss Yoga will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. We do
not sell personal information for money. To submit a request, email gabriel@mossyoga.app with

9.1 Categories of Information
During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 2,
including identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet or electronic activity,
general location information, professional or employment-related information, audio or visual
information used for live features, inferences based on preferences, and sensitive information
voluntarily provided for practice, identity, payment, or account-security purposes.
We collect and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in Sections 3 and 4.
We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals for
unrelated purposes.
10. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND DATA TRANSFERS
Moss Yoga is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and
other countries where Moss Yoga or its service providers operate. Privacy laws in those
locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate
safeguards for international transfers and honor applicable legal rights.
11. CHILDREN AND MINORS
The Service is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. Individuals under 18 may
not create an account, book a session, teach through the platform, or participate in live
instruction through Moss Yoga. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone
under 18. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Apple, Stripe, Firebase,
video providers, social networks, or websites operated by teachers or partners. Their privacy
practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before
providing information.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy and update
the Effective Date. When changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the
Service, by email, or as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after an updated
policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to information handled after
that date, subject to applicable law.
